On 17th Jan 2009, Israeli bombs had been falling on Gaza
for 3 weeks. Around 1400 people had been killed,
including 300 children. Large, passionate demos and
pickets had taken place in cities across the world and had
largely been ignored.
That night, in response, six people broke into the
weapons manufacturer EDO in Brighton, which supplies
arms to Israel. They caused £300,000 damage, stopping
work for several weeks.
In June 2010 they were found not guilty by a jury
who agreed that their attempt to prevent war crimes
was justified.
This is a rare opportunity to hear them speak
about their experiences and learn more about
the inspiring (ongoing) campaign against EDO.
